How to Set Up Drop-Down Menus in Your Shopify Store
Drop-down menus can help you organize your pages, products, or collections into similar groups and categories. By setting up your menus this way, it removes clutter from your Shopify store and makes it much easier for users to navigate.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to set up a drop-down menu using different product categories as an example.
Step #1: From your Shopify admin dashboard, locate “Online Store” and click “Navigation.”
Step #2: Choose your main menu.
Step #3: Drag menu items to nest beneath the corresponding header.
It’s a very simple concept.
Now, let’s take a look and see how these changes will appear on the updated version of this menu on our Shopify store.
This type of set up is ideal for user optimization.
Including options like sale, polos, pants, and t-shirts in the main header is unnecessary. It would be far too cluttered and can really get out of hand as you continue to add other menu items.
But adding these pages to the catalog drop-down menu is a clean and organized way to improve user navigation and optimize your Shopify store for conversions.
